Bro's wed in Sarawak [Part One ; day one]

Hey peeps, I'm back from Sarawak at last!


Okay, firstly the story will be like from a-z so i will divide into 3 parts [3 days].

We were suppose to take the Air Asia on Thursday but something really bad happen that day. Guess what? We missed the flight! Hell yeah, we paid for the tickets already ; few hundred bucks gone down the drain just like that. Anyhow, we really tried hard to aboard the plane but they just wouldnt let us in cause when the counter is close - is CLOSE! Definately we were panicking, my bro's wed okay! So at last, we managed to get Mars flight the next day [friday] which cost us a couple thousand for it. Sigh* So that day, we headed to my eldest sis's new apartment & stayed there.


Okay, now before i start my seriously adventure story i would really like to explain this. Whatever you read about the tradisional custom about Sarawak in you Sejarah book - I've been there - done that. Seriously la weih, you wouldn't imagine this. We really did do sort of unexpected stuff. So here it goes.



We left early at 9.00am to KLIA & paid for the tickets. While waiting...

Not only me okay, my older bro too! Trust me, we were both the biggest camwhore mr. & ms. the whole trip. XD

After 2 hours 10 mins in the plane, we arrived at the Bintulu Airport. Trust me, it was super small.

Our mini van they hired to enter the village.
The van journey took about 3 hrs to reach the jetty. Along the way, we stopped at this small market selling good pulut rice & fried chicken.


Also, we camwhored again.

Then halfway, we stopped at the dam to check it out.
After the 3 long hour journey, we reached the jetty. It was pouring cats & dogs! So, we had to wait. By the way, the brown-dirty-yuck! river you see in the pic is where we're gonna go through. While waiting, camwhored...
The scarf i brought was intentionally for myself in case it was cold but it turn out to be more handy later when we went under the rain. :)

Then, WALLA!
They said the boat arrived. It was around 6.30pm that time. We saw the boat, we thought okay ler. Not bad...not bad.

Quickly camwhore with it first...under the rain.

THEN, HELLO?

We're not sitting that oh-so-nice-orange-long-covered boat.
It was the blue-tiny-small-shallow boat!! OMG! That was what we first thought when we found out.

Btw, you saw that blue roof top, we're suppose to seat inside.
INSIDE. Sorry for my ugly looking pic in there cause i was really exhausted that time & it was the only pic i could show how the boat looks like inside. Well, i sat the outer most cause im claustrophobia. Yike! & it was dark already that time. Still raining heavily!!

Thanks to me, i had my phone's torchlight! :D

My dad have to seat outside meaning under the rain! At that moment with the cold windy weather plus rain. It's seriouly freezing!

During the boat journey, something happened.

The guy was going so fast & there were many logs flowing in the river & the small boat we're sitting knocked one of the logs underneath & we really could feel it. Then, the boat got a lil out of control & it was also going on the opposite side of the current & eventually the water came into the boat & the driver slipped of his chair but he managed to get back on it again. & worst thing is, when we know that the water came in we were panicking. The so called experts was using their slippers to pour out the water from the boat. Gosh!

Well, the boat journey took 3 hrs. We reached there around 9.00pm. I know right? We were sitting for so long in the plane, the van & the boat. Butt went flat. *gulp*

Their village was the 3rd one. The distance between one village & the other takes about 30mins.

Met my bro's fiance's parents. some aunty ; mum ; my dad.

Look closely & you'll see that the mum & aunt got tattoo's on thir hand & feet. Not only that, they ear's are pulled long by their earrings. Uh-huh, i told you. It's totally like the culture that you read in the Sejarah book. They are Kayan's by the way & the village they're staying are called Belaga. We dropped dead already!
