My Bro's Engagement!!!!

Not to long ago, my eldest brother Jared just got engaged!!! Haha, first one in the family to celebrate the joyous event. Well, my brother is engaged to a Sarawakian, Felicity and of course she's living there now together with her parents and family.

Here, my bro and his fiance...

So, my bro, mum and dad had flew to Sarawak for the engagement. Me and my siblings were not able to join them due to some unavailabity..hehe*. Well, they had flew there by Air Asia in the afternoon and reached Bintulu around 2 hours later..then they grabbed a bite and met Felicity and a few of the other relatives.

Now, they had to travel to the village which journey is much more longer than the flight..ehem, it is very inside inside the so called jungle...they travelled by the 4-wheel drive. And my mum and dad, my bro, my bro's fiance and the other relatives had to seat at the back of the 4-wheel drive where it open space...wow! As what my mum and dad had told me after they came back, the journey was not a bit comfortable due to the bumpy and steep road which keeps them bouncing all the time...

Halfway during the journey, they even stopped just to m-a-k-a-n....what!?!? in the middle of the dark in the jungle, where you cant see anything...haha*..it was some kind of pulut btw.

They reached the house around 8-9 pm something which was already dark. They were greeted by the family and other relatives with warm welcomes and smile of excitement on their face.

This is the pic of their house...not to bad. I thought since they were staying deep deep in the jungle, i would expext some old kampung long house...but of course i was wrong! Hehe* Their housing areas are mainly surrounded by vegetable plants for their own use. And thats the 4 - wheel drive that they sat. -at the back of it-

Once my brother had reached there, he was required to fill up forms...you know, all kinds thats somehow seem so confusing. And he had to get some help from my mum...

After that, it continued with the normal ceremony where the couple will be seated on the so called stage in front where all eyes will be on them. As you can see in the pic, the wordings at the back wasnt really in placed too...and also if you see the bottom of the pic, there are a few items such as cloths. They are actually the engagement gifts that were supposed to be bought my brother for the bride. Its their custom to gift the bride all those stuff insteads of our modern style where they usually give jewellery and all those bling* bling*...haha

Then it followed by a few words from the pastor...

COntinue, my dad had gave a small speech...

Also, the last thing that they usually do in every events...Take Pictures! But among all, i had only posted 2...

You can see that the bride's mum had tattoo all over her hands and legs...it reminds me of Prison Break *hehe*...its also one of their custom where they are suppose to have it at those olden days...you know, if you learn sejarah...

The total days my bro, mum and dad had spent there was only 3 days...even as you can see, the crowd wasnt that many and everyone was sweating madly throught out the whole process, it still had been a enjoyable event that i know it will always be a blessing for my brother!

P.S : The actual wedding will be held in Sarawak too at the end of the year just before Christmas! And for your information, this time me and mua siblings will be there 2...cant wait! =D
