Love Birds

Last Saturday, me and my mum & dad had attentted a malay wedding. It was my mum's friend daughter's wedding. It was held at the Sivik Hall near the MPPJ building.

The wedding was of course started with arrival of guests which was expected to be there by 8.30 pm. Then followed by the arrival of the bride and groom. So 8.31 pm..."Tadaa!!"...Nope, the couple hadn't had arrived...haiz, was already getting hungry because i ate an early lunch that afternoon. The MC had opologized as the couple wasn't there yet due to some preparation. So by 8.45pm, the bride and groom entered the hall and walks up to the main stage where they were seated side by side with someone fanning them...(i doubt that made them any comfortable because they were fanning them so softly, you cant even see the bride's hair moving a single inch). Then the bride's parents and all her uncles and aunties were also seated right in front of them...

Haha! At last can makan already..yum! The food was actually in front of us already. COvered.

Then, i looked at the iteniary...WHAT!! Upacara Bersanding and Merenjis. I didn't know what was that but looking at the word U-P-A-C-A-R-A, i know its gonna take quite a while...So, true enough. The ceremony was where the uncles and aunties will one by one go up to the stage where the bride and groom are and throw somekind of dried leaves on them, then splash a little water from a so called long gold vase and give salam to them. And there was about 5 uncle's and aunties all together. Haiyo, and of course they're not so young and active like most teenagers are, they were of course walking up and down the stage much much more slower.

It was 9.15 pm that time, and no makan yet...grrr..stomach's growling was much more louder *haha*...then 9.40pm, the MC annouched..."Sekarang, dipersilakan pasangan pengantin lelaki dan pengantin perempuan ke meja menjemu selera dan makanan akan dihidangkan kepada anda sebentar lagi.."

At last! So just a short while the nasi briyani came to our table and the dishes was already in front of us. There was chicken curry, 2 dishes of vegetable (malay style) and rendang. It wasn't to bad. Quite tasty actually. ALong makan, there was a few songs being played. And there was this song where the men and lady had sang and i thought it was the radio. Their voice sounded exactly like the originals. Woa!

Anyway, around 10.30pm, the bride and groom had excused themeselve and went out of the hall. Then followed by the guests, everyone started to get up and walked away. On the way out, the bride and groom along with the bride's parents was outside there greeting every guests 'goodbye'. Oh yeah, each guest was given a bunga telur.

Taken before going off *bluekk*
