Jerry Shepard and his hiking group friends which are David McClaren, Katie and Charlie Cooper went on a challenging adventure together with their team of sledge dogs. There are eight of them (Maya, Old Jack, Shorty, Max, Truman, Dewey, Shadow and Buck). Jerry Shepard and his crew had to leave the cold stormy place in the middle of nowhere leaving behind the sledge of dogs tied up as they were suppose to be away temporarily. However, when Jerry Shepard and the others were suppose to get back, the weather was getting colder and the temperature was decreasing. The goverment had bend all hikers from going out to continue their adventure. Jerry was of course very sad because his beloved dogs are left there in the cold. He had tried pleading to go back there himself to save the dogs but he wasnt allowed. Soon, 6 months had passed...they still have not went back to save them. The dogs was also still on run trying to survive on their own without their leader. David McClaren who had earlier saved by the courages eight dogs had at last decided to help Jerry after seeing a picture drew by his son with the caption "The Heroes who had saved my Daddy...(pictures of the dogs). However, the really sad thing was that when they went back they had managed to save six of them (one nearly to death) where else the other two was already dead. One had ran and slipped off a cliff, ended up with a broken leg and died. The other one was pretty sad as when the others had broke off from their chain and ran away, it didn't tried to run away as Jerry earlier said to it that he would come back. So, of course at the end of the six months, it died of hunger.

Okay, first of all, I know that this movie had been showned so long ago but I got to watch it just recently on AsTRO channel 42. I would rate this movie high as it really shown a clear character of loyalty to friendship, tough adventure to go through and the way the dogs survives through out the whole thing. I still can't believe its based on a true story though as it really seems to unbelievable..hehe...hem, believe me...this movie had me fill up my rubbish bin with full of tissues. Haha~ Hey, you cant help it okay...its so touching...well, don't miss it if they're showing...=D
